Living in Dublin

Prime location

One of the best parts about living in Dublin is its stellar location—you won’t have to drive far to get to wherever you need to go. Commuters are just a 20-minute drive from the heart of Columbus, and the John Glenn Dublin International Airport is less than a half hour away. Major roads around Dublin include I-270, I-70, US-33, and US-42. The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) also services part of the community.

Parks and recreation

There’s nothing quite like getting out into the great outdoors, and Dublin has some pretty amazing spots to explore. Locals enjoy the serenity of the area’s nature destinations or hitting the links at one of the nation’s best golf courses. In fact, Dublin is home to nearly 1,000 acres of parkland, 77 miles of bike trails, and more than 65 parks. Top destinations include Indian Run Falls, Coffman Park, and Muirfield Village Golf Club.

A+ schools

Even if you don’t have children, it’s worth investing in a highly-rated school district. Homes located in top-performing systems often hold their value more than average. Luckily, Dublin is served by the Dublin City School District, which operates three high schools, four middle schools, and twelve elementary schools in the area. Three institutions within the district have even been recognized as Blue Ribbon Schools!

Community events

If you think suburban life is boring, then you’ve never been to Dublin. This town’s claim to fame has to be the Dublin Irish Festival, which is the largest celebration of Irish culture in the entire world. Every July, over 100,000 fans from across the globe head to Dublin to drink, eat, dance, and learn more about Irish culture. Dublin also hosts the PGA Memorial Tournament, which was founded by Jack Nicklaus in 1976 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club.
